Everyone had one somewhere during their life story. Some dished them away, some still have them. I am in the latest group. His name is Billy. He is handsome, with green eyes and dark brown hair, and super sweet. He is always with me, sometimes I may forget about him but I know he is there. There are many movies in which imaginary friends have a big role. One of them is Harvey, Dowd´s(James Stewart) 2 feet high imaginary rabbit. The 1950´s movie has a philosophy I really sympathize with, Dowd says to his psychiatrist:
“Well, I’ve wrestled with reality for thirty-five years, doctor, and I’m happy to state I finally won out over it.”
Another movie with a Bunny that I really liked is Donnie Darko. The animal can be the same, but is this movie he isn´t that night and draws Donnie to the dark side. Still, such a good movie! There are much more movies with friends that only one character can see, and here is a list: http://whatculture.com/film/10-unforgettable-imaginary-friends-in-films.php/ .
And then there is this guy, or better the New Zeland illustrator Jordan Young who had the best idea ever, put these imaginary friends into real pictures. This is the result: http://matchingmonsters.tumblr.com/. Isn´t it absolutely amazing?
